My Escape to Cuba: Exploring Grand Sirenis in Cayo Santa Maria

As a lifestyle influencer who loves to write about fashion, travel and all things glamour. I’m always on the lookout for new destinations to explore and share with my followers. Last December, I decided to escape the winter in Toronto and head to Cuba for some sun, sand, and relaxation. My stay at Grand Sirenis in Cayo Santa Maria exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to share my experience with you.

In case you’re wondering, I flew with Sunwing to Cuba. The resort is about 1.30 hours away from the airport, so be ready to watch the scenery for a bit. But I promise, the stunning views are worth it!

When I arrived, I was immediately struck by the resort’s beauty and spaciousness. Everywhere I looked, there were stunning views of the ocean and lush greenery. The resort was full of fun dynamics, and I met so many amazing people during my stay.

Upon heading to my room, I unpacked my clothes and personal belongings to get ready for the next week of Cuba! I managed to take a look at the view from my bedroom, and let me say, it was spectacular.

One of the best things about Grand Sirenis is that everything is included. I indulged in unlimited drinks, food, cappuccinos, and even Spanish coffee (which quickly became my new favorite). The resort had everything I needed to relax and unwind, including a variety of pools, a spa, and plenty of beach chairs.

But my favorite memory from my trip was definitely the dolphin excursion. It was an experience I will never forget. The dolphins were so playful and friendly, and I had the chance to get up close and personal with them. It was worth every penny and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Grand Sirenis. The package I got includes snorkelling experience (I saw the beautiful life underwater!) + had a lobster dinner.

In the evenings, I danced the night away under the stars. The resort had a great entertainment program with live music, dancing, and other fun activities. It was the perfect way to end each day and create unforgettable memories.

One thing I failed to do, however, was take bug spray with me. I did not think it was necessary, and boy, was I mistaken. So, please be prepared and pack some bug spray because there are lots of skin-sucking buggies ready to share their love with you!

Another important thing to note is that Cuba requires travelers to buy travel insurance. I had to purchase it before my arrival from Toronto, and it gave me peace of mind knowing that I was covered in case of any unforeseen circumstances. Travel insurance can be purchased through private insurance companies, and your bank or work insurance might offer this as well. It’s always best to call and check beforehand to ensure you have adequate coverage during your trip.

In brief words, my experience at Grand Sirenis in Cayo Santa Maria was very pleasant. If you’re looking for a tropical getaway that has it all, I highly recommend checking out Grand Sirenis. Just be sure to pack bug spray and purchase travel insurance before your arrival to ensure a worry-free vacation.
