Pageants, pageants, pageants.. oh my glam!

As I write about my journey, I can already feel and remember the days and nights as I was preparing for the amazing experience.

Counting down the days was no easy task. The reoccurring thoughts of ticking moments were causing me excitement, anticipation, and anxiety all together. As months turned into days and minutes into seconds. “The time has come, I am living my dream”, I said to myself. And that’s when my dream started to feel more like a reality.

Looking back at it; the runway, bikini walk, makeup tutorials, dancing choreography…ahhh.. what a magical moment it all was. I was experiencing something great for the first time! I felt like I was on top of the world, I wanted to just pause and enjoy it all, but we all had one goal in mind; become a pageant girl. In order to be one, we had to focus, learn, and execute.

The glamour on the outside didn’t represent the hard work that goes on behind the scenes! We learned the dances, talked the talk, and of course, walked the walk.

Not to forget, I met so many amazing and inspiring girls, full of ambition and excitement. We were all representing the voice of our nation. We talked and discussed major topics including; world peace, poverty, women empowerment, global warming, creating opportunities for young entrepreneurs, and more!

I can easily say that, until this day, I am very thankful for the opportunity and all the mentorship I received by the talented coaches and mentors.

In brief words, it was an inspiring, exciting, and an amazing experience. I would do anything to relive those moments again. Below are some pictures taken at the time.
